Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Dharma Daily mobile application ("App"), operated by Dharma Daily ("we," "our," or "us").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App, including free and paid subscribers. Additional terms may apply to specific features, and we will notify you of those at the time of use.

Description of Service

Dharma Daily is a spiritual companion application designed to help users engage with Hindu spiritual traditions, including but not limited to:

Daily verses from the Bhagavad Gita (Shloka of the Day)
Complete Bhagavad Gita text with 700 verses across 18 chapters
Ask Krishna — an AI-powered spiritual guidance feature
Mantra Library with audio playback
Mahabharata Journey — an episodic retelling of the Mahabharata
Guided reading plans and daily streak tracking
Festival calendar and related content

The App is available in two tiers: a free tier with limited access to content, and Dharma Pro, a paid subscription that unlocks the full experience.

User Accounts

To access certain features of the App, you may be required to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep this information up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period, with prior notice where reasonably possible.

Subscriptions & Payments

Dharma Pro subscription

Dharma Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the pricing and payment terms presented to you at the time of purchase.

Billing

All payments are processed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing, you agree to Apple's terms of service regarding in-app purchases and subscriptions. We do not directly process or store any payment information.

Free trial

We may offer free trial periods from time to time. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the then-current rate.

Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to Dharma Pro features until then.

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact Apple Support or reach out to us and we will do our best to assist.

Price changes

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Any price changes will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following notice of the change. If you do not agree to the new price, you may cancel before it takes effect.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

Use the App in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App, its servers, or any connected systems
Use the App to transmit any harmful, offensive, or objectionable content
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App or its content
Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the App's content without our written permission
Use the Ask Krishna feature to generate content that is harmful, hateful, or deliberately misleading
Share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms.

Ask Krishna AI Disclaimer

Important: Ask Krishna is an AI-powered feature that provides spiritual perspectives based on the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita. It is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind.

By using the Ask Krishna feature, you understand and agree that:

Responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your specific situation
Ask Krishna does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial, or any other form of professional advice
Responses represent AI-generated interpretations of Gita teachings, not authoritative religious rulings or divine communication
You should not rely solely on Ask Krishna for important life decisions — consult qualified professionals and trusted spiritual teachers as appropriate
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified mental health professional or crisis helpline immediately

We make no guarantees about the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of responses generated by Ask Krishna. The feature is provided "as is" for spiritual reflection and personal growth purposes only.

Intellectual Property

Our content

The App and its original content (including but not limited to translations, commentary, audio recordings, visual design, illustrations, icons, and software code) are owned by Dharma Daily and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The Bhagavad Gita and Mahabharata are ancient texts in the public domain. Our translations, commentary, summaries, audio narrations, and presentation of these texts are original works protected by copyright.

Trademarks

"Dharma Daily," the Dharma Daily logo, "Ask Krishna," and "Dharma Pro" are trademarks of Dharma Daily. You may not use these marks without our prior written permission.

Limited license

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App or its content.

User Content & Feedback

When you use the App, you may generate content such as bookmarks, reading progress, and Ask Krishna conversations ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.

By providing feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the App, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, modify, and incorporate such feedback into the App without any obligation to you.

We do not claim ownership of your Ask Krishna conversations. However, we may use anonymized, aggregated data from conversations to improve the quality and accuracy of the AI feature, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any content provided through the App, including Ask Krishna responses.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dharma Daily and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the use of the App exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dharma Daily and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the App's settings or by contacting us at hello@dharmadaily.app.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. If you have an active subscription, cancellation of your subscription is separate from account termination — please cancel through your Apple ID settings.

Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including but not limited to intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days, either party may pursue resolution through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect, either through the App or via email.

What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use the App after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
